Fairfax Performance Separate Grackle Noseband

Articulation rings on the noseband improve stability on the horses head, allowing it to move with the horse, allowing it to move without restriction

Symmetrical design with buckles both sides

Approved for use in FEI  competitions including all three eventing phases

Grackle fitting tips:

1) The top ring needs to be clear of the base oft he cheek bone. A good rule of thumb is to set the cheeks of the grackle at the same height as the bit cheeks to start with

2) The top ring needs to be clear of the cheek bone (lengthwise) so the cheeks of the grackle lie parallel with the bit cheeks.

3) The top pad should be set on the same hole both sides – ideally hole 3.

4) The centre square should be slid up as high as possible.

5) The bottom strap should be set on the same hole both sides with the buckles ideally initially positioned approximately midway (but slightly closer to the mouth than the nose because when the noseband beds in it will tighten a couple of holes).

6) The pad on the lower strap should sit centrally in the chin groove.
